Drive Local. Earn Fair. Ride Verified.

Music City Rideshare (MCR) is building a smarter, local-first alternative to big rideshare platforms β€” designed for Nashville drivers and riders.

How It Works

  • Riders request a trip through the app.
  • Nearby drivers accept and confirm the trip.
  • Riders share a private pickup code with the driver for verification.
  • Dropoff is confirmed and written on-chain.
  • Validators finalize the ride using blockchain proof-of-ride logic.

Why MCR?

  • βœ… Built in Nashville, for Nashville.
  • πŸ”’ Ride verification using blockchain technology.
  • πŸ’° No 40% commissions β€” keep what you earn.
  • πŸ’‘ Most platforms claim to take 25–40%, but real-world data shows it's often much higher. A $30 airport ride might only earn a driver $8–10 β€” meaning the platform keeps over 65–70%. MCR exists so local drivers can stop renting their own labor.
  • 🧠 Transparent validator logic, built in Go.

Hi, I’m Terrell β€” a software engineer based in Nashville. I created MCR to empower local drivers and test new ways to verify rides transparently using code. I'm blending cloud infrastructure, Golang smart contracts, and real-world driving to build something that serves our city first.

system architecture

🧱 System Architecture Overview

The Ride Module is composed of two main layers:

Frontend

  • Built with Next.js and deployed on Vercel
  • Handles all user interactions for both riders and drivers
  • Communicates with the backend via REST and Server-Sent Events (SSE)
  • Integrates with third-party services like Stripe for payments and Google Maps for directions

Backend

  • Written in Golang
  • Deployed as a containerized microservice using Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Handles:
    • Driver authentication and ride request handling
    • Event streaming (SSE) to update dashboards in real time
    • Coordination with the Blockshare chain to submit and track ride transactions

Want to Drive or Build?

MCR is open source and testing locally now. If you’re interested in joining as a driver.
