Welcome to Music City Rideshare ("MCR"). Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our website, services, or platform. By accessing or using MCR, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Overview
MCR is a peer-to-peer ride coordination platform built by a local driver for local drivers. The system supports:
- In-person scan-pay-go rides initiated by passengers scanning a driver’s MCR QR code.
- Digital ride requests submitted via our web-based
/hail
interface.
MCR is not a Transportation Network Company (TNC). We do not:
- Employ drivers
- Control driver schedules
- Set or guarantee ride fares
All drivers using MCR operate as independent contractors.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use MCR. By using our platform, you affirm that:
- You are legally eligible to enter into these Terms
- You are not prohibited from using our services under applicable law
3. Driver Responsibilities
Drivers using MCR agree to:
- Maintain valid driver’s license and insurance
- Abide by all local traffic and safety laws
- Accurately represent themselves and their vehicle
MCR does not verify vehicle condition or perform background checks. Riders assume responsibility for evaluating a driver before beginning a ride.
4. Payment
All payments are processed via Stripe. MCR does not hold or escrow funds. Drivers keep 100% of what they earn. Passengers agree to pay the displayed fare at the time of booking or scanning.
Refunds, cancellations, and disputes are to be resolved directly between rider and driver.
5. Disclaimers
MCR is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Availability of rides or drivers
- Arrival times or routes
- Safety of users
MCR is a coordination tool. We are not liable for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any user.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MCR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to MCR at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in unlawful activity.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Davidson County, TN.
